Healing begins with being truly seen

Luam, Certified Reiki Practitioner and Holistic Wellness Guide in Seattle, WA
My Story Mission & Values

Every person carries the capacity to heal

I founded Holistic Healing with Luam out of a deep personal conviction: that the body, mind, and spirit are not separate problems to be solved — they are one living system, always seeking balance. My work is rooted in that truth.

As a Certified Reiki Practitioner based in Seattle, I offer a space that is unhurried, intentional, and built around you. Whether you arrive carrying chronic tension, emotional weight, or simply the exhaustion of daily life — my sessions are designed to meet you exactly where you are.

Holistic healing isn't a quick fix. It's a practice. My goal is not just to give you relief in the room — it's to help you build a lasting relationship with your own wellbeing.

Understanding the Practice

What holistic healing actually means

Holistic healing is an approach to wellness that looks at the whole person — not just the physical symptom, but the emotional, mental, and energetic layers beneath it. Rather than treating the body as a collection of isolated parts, holistic practices work to restore the natural flow and balance that allows all systems to function at their best.

The Body

The Body

Physical tension, pain, and fatigue are often the last signal — not the first. Holistic bodywork addresses what the body is holding so it can finally let go.

The Mind

The Mind

Stress, anxiety, and mental overload live in the nervous system. Practices like Reiki create the conditions for the mind to slow down and reset.

The Energy

The Energy

Every living body has an energetic field. When that field is blocked or depleted, it shows up as imbalance. Energy work clears and restores that flow.

How I Work

Personalized. Intentional. Unhurried.

No two sessions are the same because no two people are the same. Before every appointment, I take time to understand where you are — physically, emotionally, energetically. From there, we build a session that serves your actual needs, not a generic protocol.

Whole-Person Care

I look at the full picture — body, mind, and energy — to understand what needs attention and why.

Trauma-Informed Practice

Every session is held with care, consent, and deep respect for your nervous system and personal history.

Rooted in Ancient Wisdom

Reiki and energy healing draw from traditions thousands of years old. I honor that lineage in every session.

No Pressure, No Rush

Healing doesn't run on a clock. I create space for your body and mind to arrive fully before we begin.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before your first session.

Holistic healing is a whole-person approach to wellness that addresses the physical, emotional, mental, and energetic dimensions of health. Rather than treating isolated symptoms, it works to restore balance across all systems — allowing the body's natural healing intelligence to do its work. Sessions may include Reiki, therapeutic massage, breathwork, and energy balancing depending on your needs.
Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique that uses gentle touch (or no touch at all) to channel healing energy through the practitioner's hands. It promotes deep relaxation, reduces stress, and supports the body's ability to heal itself. While it is not a replacement for medical treatment, many clients report significant relief from anxiety, pain, and fatigue after sessions.
No. Many clients come in skeptical and still experience meaningful results. Reiki and energy work operate on physiological principles — the relaxation response alone produces measurable benefits including reduced cortisol, slower heart rate, and improved sleep. An open mind is helpful; belief is not required.
Your first session begins with a brief conversation about what brought you in and what you're hoping to experience. From there, you'll lie comfortably (fully clothed for Reiki; undressed to your comfort level for massage) while I work. Most clients feel deeply relaxed, warm, or gently floaty during the session. Afterward, we'll check in briefly and I'll share any observations.
Traditional massage primarily targets muscle tissue and physical tension. Holistic healing — including the massage offered at this practice — considers the emotional and energetic patterns stored in the body alongside the physical. Sessions are slower, more intentional, and tailored to your whole state of being, not just the area that hurts.
It depends on your goals and where you're starting from. Many clients notice a shift after a single session. For deeper patterns — chronic tension, long-term stress, or trauma — a series of sessions over several weeks tends to produce more lasting results. We'll discuss a realistic plan during your first appointment.
Reiki is considered safe throughout pregnancy and can be deeply supportive for expectant mothers. Massage during pregnancy requires specific modifications and positioning. Please let me know at booking if you are pregnant so I can adjust your session accordingly.
Yes. Distance Reiki is a real and effective modality — energy is not limited by physical proximity. Virtual sessions are available for clients across Washington State and beyond, and many clients find them just as impactful as in-person appointments.
For Reiki, wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing — you remain fully clothed throughout. For massage, you'll undress to your comfort level and be professionally draped at all times. There is no right or wrong; your comfort is the only priority.
The practice is based in Seattle, WA. In-person sessions are available at my Seattle location. I also offer select mobile sessions for clients in the greater Seattle area — including Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, and surrounding communities. Reach out to discuss mobile availability.
My practice is built around unhurried, personalized care. I don't run back-to-back sessions with no room to breathe — every appointment is held with full presence. I also bring a trauma-informed lens to every session, which means your nervous system's safety is always the first consideration.
Yes. Holistic healing can be a meaningful complement to conventional medical treatment for clients dealing with chronic pain, autoimmune conditions, fatigue, or recovery from illness or surgery. I work collaboratively and always recommend continuing to work with your medical providers.
In most cases, Reiki is not covered by standard health insurance plans in the United States. However, some HSA and FSA accounts may cover sessions — check with your provider. Massage therapy is more commonly covered, particularly when prescribed by a physician.
I ask for at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee. Life happens — if something urgent comes up, please reach out and we'll work it out together.
Yes, with parental consent and presence. Reiki is particularly gentle and effective for younger clients dealing with anxiety, sleep issues, or stress. Sessions for minors are adapted in length and approach.
Massage therapy works primarily through physical manipulation of soft tissue — muscles, fascia, and connective tissue. Reiki works through light touch or no touch at all, focused on the body's energetic field. Many clients benefit from both, either in separate sessions or as an integrated experience.
Absolutely — this is one of the most common reasons clients seek out holistic care. Both Reiki and therapeutic massage activate the parasympathetic nervous system (the "rest and digest" state), which directly counteracts the stress response. Clients often describe leaving sessions feeling lighter, clearer, and more grounded.
Drink water before your session and try to arrive a few minutes early so you're not rushing. Eat lightly beforehand — a heavy meal can make it harder to fully relax. Avoid alcohol the day of your session. Most importantly, come with no agenda other than to receive.
Yes. In addition to in-person sessions in Seattle, I offer virtual Reiki sessions to clients throughout Washington, Oregon, and California. If you're in the Pacific Northwest and looking for a holistic wellness practitioner, I'd love to connect.
Booking is simple — click "Book a Session" on any page and you'll be taken to my online scheduling system powered by FlowState, where you can choose your service, select a time, and confirm your appointment. I'll follow up with any intake questions before your session.
